What You May Have Missed

President Biden’s surprise trip to Ukraine was carefully planned, with the small reporter pool sworn to secrecy. Even the conservative National Review said the trip “took guts,” though Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) had a different take.

In addition to sending a message to Moscow, Biden’s trip also sent a message to Beijing — even as China’s foreign minister is set to arrive in the Russian capital.

Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis will hold Florida events this week one day and four miles apart.

DeSantis will not appear at the Conservative Political Action Conference, and Trump still hasn’t been to Iowa. But DeSantis was in Trump’s hometown of New York on Monday to highlight crime.

Gov. Chris Sununu, a likely GOP presidential candidate, hopes the party is ready for a return to normalcy. And even some rank-and-file Trump supporters may be ready for it.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is proving to be Nancy Pelosi’s successor in more ways than one, showing that he can rake in the bucks for the Democratic Party.

Rep. Marhjorie Taylor Greene called for “a national divorce” between “red states and blue states,” which would be a geographic challenge.

Trump was the best of presidents, he was the worst of presidents, according to a Presidents’ Day poll.

In 1979, President Carter had solar panels installed at the White House. These were later laughed at, derided and removed by officials of Reagan Administration.
