Biden's Moment
It's likely his biggest audience of the year -- by far
What You May Have Missed
The State of the Union address is a very weird annual political event, and most Americans don’t think things are going well in the country. President Biden will aim to reassure them, call for unity, and possibly call for a billionaires’ tax to boot.
House Speaker McCarthy will be sitting behind Biden tonight, and says he won’t tear up the President’s speech as his predecessor did with one of Donald Trump’s.
Though Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R-AR) will get the spotlight of the official GOP response, the man who made her famous, Trump, will deliver his own response.
Labor Secretary Marty Walsh will leave the Biden administration to head the National Hockey League Players’ Association, a job that pays a million hat tricks per year.
Will the Stormy Daniels case be the one that actually snags Trump?
Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA), a candidate for the seat held by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, says that if Feinstein leaves office early, California Gov. Gavin Newsom should name a Black woman to the seat.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) seems to be praying for Biden’s death… again.
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is locked and loaded for the House government weaponization subcommittee.
Rep. George Santos (R-NY) is not fazed.

Once again I see the punditry underestimating Biden, while not calling a spade a spade concerning his political opposition. Kudos on the Congressional Black Caucus & their efforts as two Republican Congresswomen act ridiculous. Whether one is singing abominations before The Most High, while her counterpart who she herself complained about being lumped together with on the crazy train, whines about Balloons. Balloons which President Biden’s predecessor didn’t utter a peep about.
