What You May Have Missed

Georgia delivered Joe Biden 16 electoral votes by a margin of less than 12,000 votes in 2020 — just the second time a Democrat carried the state in four decades — and swapped out two Republican senators for two Democrats. So some Southern Democrats think the state should be rewardedwith the 2024 Democratic National Convention.

Republican insiders are hoping that something, anything, will block the resurrection of Donald Trump. Could it be the courts? The Manhattan district attorney’s office is presenting evidence in the Stormy Daniels payoff scheme to a grand jury, and a Georgia county prosecutor is signaling that election subversion charges are imminent.

Meanwhile, Trump himself is going to court… against Bob Woodward. And in an interesting new legal strategy, Trump flooded the IRS with public record requests.

Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, a Trump critic, says he will decide on a GOP presidential run within the next few months.

Some Democrats are concerned about Vice President Kamala Harris as a presidential nominee, whether in 2028 or as soon as next year.

Jair Bolsonarro either likes living in the United States or he really dislikes the idea of living in jail.

What are the nation’s nine newest governors doing in their first weeks in office?

Inflation, racism, crime — these are all big problems that the government must confront. But according to a new Gallup poll, more Americans see government itself as a bigger problem than any of them.

Yup projection every time. You would think that if the GOP wants Trump to go away, maybe they should stop defending him or carrying his water. 😑
